Today thousands died
Today our pride was hurt
Today we lost monuments of our country.
The horror of it all is overwhelming.
This is for those who boarded a plane, happy and unsuspecting
For the first time fliers expecting tragedy, but convincing their
conscious all will turn out well.
This is for the routine fliers that thought, “Just one more time.”
For the children who grew restless in their seats; for the pilots who
woke up, and went to work.
This is for the tourists that were on top of the world
For the employees that aided our country’s success.
We call the evil, Terrorists.
They are cowardly murderers; killing mothers, fathers, husbands, wives,
sisters, brothers; innocent children.
People died in vain. Not our own vanity, but that of an ill-minded
soul.
This is for the families of those we lost.
Prayers and love will not bring them back, but it will devour the evil
they were not righteously submitted to.
All of civilization is sorry.
Sorry for war, sorry for pride.
Our hearts go out to those lost, our tears are shed for all.
Our country is great, our freedom is now impaired.
We will succeed with the aid of spirits that we lost.
Some were fortunate enough to say their goodbyes. For those who didn’t,
we hear them anyways.
We hear the screams, the tears, the defeat, and at last, the peace.
Justice will be served. The perpetrators will receive no mercy.

“Our country is in mourning for those lost. However, we will be strong
to honor those who died.”
